It was even in Darkstalker's excerpt. Foeslayer named him Darkstalker through a hero's perspective- he "stalks" the darkness, chasing it away. However, Arctic sees it as him stalking through the dark, like a villain.

This is a reflection of Darkstalker's own moral status, a reminder that Darkstalker himself can be defined as either hero or villain, depending on which way you look. Tui even said herself- the special edition will make the answer (to the question Is Darkstalker a hero or a villain?) very clear to some, and even harder to decide than ever. It's beautiful symbolism- and makes me think Darkstalker will end up much like Morrowseer, where everyone thinks him like a villain of the story, when there was never a villain in the first place, just two sides of the story. In the end, it's up to the readers to decide on if Darkstalker is a black or a white character, but many will choose the grey, or not choose at all.

Now if that isn't genius on Tui's part, I don't know what is.

Indeed he does have his reasons for doing what he does I'll give him that. I can easily draw parallels between him and how he talked with Moon in MR and how Morrowseer acted throughout TDP but as things went on whole good person mantra started collapsing.

Darkstalker is out of the mountain now and weather thats a good thing remains to be seen, as far as the ending of EP is concerned, I'm currently of the belief that it's a bad thing but you never know, it could just be an initial reaction, then again 'things crawling over graves' isn't exactly the most comforting thing.
